Am reassembling my batteryless XT tomorrow, and I need to go get one. If anyone could save me rooting around with a ruler to find one that fits in the compartment.

Jim,

Give 'on yer bike' a ring (centre of town) and tell them the model and year you have. They keep a range of batteries in stock and will probably have one 'over the counter' for you. Thats what Jasper did every 2 months after he left the bike standing with the indicator/headlight/ etc on!!!
