TTR running rough
 

My TTR 600 Belgarda
After riding hard the bike starts misfiring like its running out of petrol I switch to reserve but no improvemt the misfire gets worse and engine cuts out.It will usually start ok but will still misfire and I have to keep revving and slipping the clutch.If I refill with petrol the problems seems to go away even though I still had half a tank.
I have checked petrol tap and filter and its ok and breather is clear.
My bike does have a different cam fitted and I was thinking when I ride hard it could be over revving which could be causing the electronic pick up to malfunction or the valves are not closing propley after getting very hot.When I stop to refuel the engine cools down enough to sort it self out.
The TTR cam shaft is part no 1JK-12171-00 is this the same as any of the XTs

Did you check the little nasty filter on the float needle seat? If you do, throw it away and plumb in an in-line fuel filter if you don't already have.

Have you had a look at the cables on the C.D.I. unit? Mine wore through the insulation under the seat and started occasionally shorting against the frame. Just an idea.
