tt600re oil leak

Hi everyone.
I have 04 tt600re. There is oil seeping out of the hole to the left of the oil filter you can see in the photo. Any idea what is the cause.

Seal is broken, plug it with JB weld.

If there is a hole there is most likely a plug that seal it up, maybe plug have been removed earlier and sealed up with some bad gum.
