TT600RE for sale

I am thinking of putting my TT600RE (it's the electric start) on sale and wonder if anyone from this forum would be interested in making me an offer or giving some advise about the price I should be looking at.

It's a 2003 reg. I am the second owner and I bought it in 2007, when the bike had only 5,000 KM on the clock. Now it has 32,000 KM and I've used it only as an occasional commuter in London / weekend cruiser and on a couple of short european trips (never used it off-road).

It has a new road tax on (12 months - expiring 31 dec 2011), new MOT (expiring Jan 2012), new oil and filter (just changed it yesterday).
Tyres are Pirelli Skorpion MT90 AT, but the rear one hasn't got many miles left on it.

It is all original, except for the upgraded suspensions: I fitted a rear ohlins shock absorber (the longer TTR one) and the longer TTR Paioli forks - and a LeoVince 3 exhaust pipe.... but I would include all the original shock (Sachs), forks and exhaust pipe too, in a box, together with the bike.

It has a Metal-Mule rear rack and side-panniers carriers, which I bought new for about £300, about 2 years ago...

I could throw in a spare clutch cable (original yamaha - 40 quid!) and 2 original yamaha fork seals, a couple of bike covers (if you travel and / or leave it outside), a 5 lt. jerry fuel metal tank, some panniers and a few more bits.

I love the bike, it has always been great to me and I took great care of it, changing oil / filter very often (always Castrol) and keeping always clean and shining.... it's in good overall condition, the engine runs perfectly, however it has the normal cosmetic signs of its age (not too bad tho)... I can send photos on request.

I sell it only because I need a car (baby arriving soon) and at the moment I cannot afford to maintain both a car and a bike.
Should I get another bike in the future tho - which I intend to do as soon as I can - I will definitely buy another one of these TT600RE because they are the best bikes ever!

Any help, info, opinion regarding value / price, etc. will be very much appreciated

I’ve seen a few TT600RE’s about priced at £1700-£2000, about the same as an XT of a similar age would go for. There is a TT600RE in a bike shop local to me at the moment Priced at £2300 but I think that is too much and it will stay there for a while!

I’m not in the trade or an expert I’ve just been looking around lately, wondering whether to get a TT-R or revamp my XT for my next trip. I’m thinking now I will do a bit of work on the XT so I’d be very interested in the forks/shock/pipe you have spare. I think you would get more if you sold the parts separately than if you let them go with the bike. My e-mail is danwak@rocketmail.com

Yeah, 2,000 would be a fair price for the bike, but with upgraded suspensions (rear ohlins and TTR longer Paioli forks), slip-on LeoVince3 exhaust pipe and Metalmule rear rack + panniers racks... and plus the orgiinal bits added, I was thinking to get something like £2,400, but not sure tho...

However, if I sell the forks and shock separately, i will definitely give you a shout... are you after the originally fitted "Sachs" or the TTR "Ohlins"?
