Thanks very much indeed Leigh, very useful and very clear!!

I will do some adjustments when I am feeling ready to do such experimentation - not yet ridden the bike on anything but asphalt and I still have supermoto wheels fitted, but I have a cunning plan.......

Best wishes,

Dave

ps Any chance of a wiring diagram for the TTR? (don't get if you don't ask!!!)

hi dave, my bike also as road tyres(bt020)but on stock rims.these work great on road and on dry trial, much to my surprise.but i think ill get some knobblys on her first chance i get.i think they look better.also i think the knobbly tread may soak up some of the vibes.when i pull off it almost seems like there is some movement in the engine/drive system.ive checked everything inc.swingarm ,bearings, chainset and engine mounts.all ok.probably just being over critical.:stormy:

Hello Leigh,
I think most people put the information into a webpage & then show a link to that website, but if you don't have one (like me!) then that is not on. How big is this document - I just wonder if it can get across the ether as an email attachment?

Hello Ade,
I think a few people are running XTs/TTs on road tyres on the original rims - bit of a pain to swop over I guess if you want to run with something more suited for the tracks/trails - changing tyres I mean (but you could get extra wheels). I got 2 sets of wheels with my bike from the previous owner, supermoto and the originals; haven't done any changing yet, but it doesn't seem too much bother and better than changing tyres on one set of wheels.

Regards,

Dave

STANDARD: 15 clicks OFF ROAD: 12 clicks.
Compression- remove rubber caps from bottom of fork leg, screw all the way in till it stops, back out the apt no. of clicks.
STANDARD: 12 clicks OFF ROAD: 3 clicks.

Rear shock : Compression- locate top adjuster on Ohlins resevoir unit, turn clockwise 'till it stops the back out...
STANDARD: 18 clicks OFF ROAD: 10 clicks
Rebound- Locate bottom adujster on shock unit, tighten to stop, back off....
STANDARD: 18 clicks OFF ROAD: 9 clicks

Pre-load is set at 18.5 mm from top edge of top ring to top edge of upper adjusting lock-ring. (75kg rider)

Of course you may feel that you need to fine-tune these settings, good luck.

hi
