Tank bags for TT600 w/ Acerbis 20L tank?
 

Hi all,

Have any of you found good tank bags for the TT600RE with the 20L tank?

I've been looking at the Wolfman Enduro (6L) or Blackhawk (8L). A little concerned about the fit... Would tank panniers be a better way to go?

Would be nice to hear about your experiences with bags on this setup. Thanks.

I have used the Wolfman tank bags previously and they worked fine for me. However, I later switched on to the IXS Magnetic tank bags Raron. I bought these awesome accessoires moto from an online store while it was on sale. I found these bags to be a better fit than the wolframs. You can check them out once to see whether they will fit your bike or not.

I have a "1 x Wolfman Explorer Lite (Universal Fit) (M218)"

for my TT 600R, with an Acerbis 20L (ish) tank.

The bag fit is no real problem, I have ridden 25k+ km with it and will continue to use it. However. It does stop my knees (rather my inner thighs) from having full contact with the tank on both sides. The "bad fit" is so slight that I didnt notice it at first. But after full days of riding, even a little wider between the knees is noticeable and can get a little uncomfortable.

I notice it mostly when I ride without the bag and think "how nice it is to have such good contact with the bike".

Hard to explain. No big deal, maybe its like this with all tank bags...

I've been riding with the small wolfman bag and it works fine. No contact with my knees, even when standing. Not much room for storing stuff, but enough for me.

I have the wolfman tank panniers fitted on my XT600E with a 23 ltr Acerbis tank fitted. I find they make my knees stick out more. But I don't find it uncomfortable. Attachment 16356
