Tank Bag - Acerbis 23ltr Tank

Can anybody recommend a tank bag for use with the Acerbis 23ltr tank please? Ideally, I would like one that detaches easily when leaving the bike for short periods or for filling with fuel.

Thanks.

I made a simple harness from nylon webbing, and fitted a cheap old tankbag from www.louis.eu which I previously used on my rear rack, for tools ect:

Thanks for the suggestions. I guess I was over complicating the matter.

Cheers.

Wolfman make one which is a lovely fit.

Giant loop also make one which works well.

Being plastic and a strange shape, Acerbis tanks can be a PITA for tank bags.

I had the same problem and could not find any that fit on the tank really well so I ended up getting the Wolfman Tank Saddlebags. I have found then to be really good. I even got in touch with Acerbis to see if they had any recommends and they couldn't even be bothered to reply

On my XT

The tank in the photo is the original now is on my acerbis 23ltr tank..Fits just fine with 4 straps...

In case of water i use 2 small dry bags for the things that i dont want to get wet...I most use it for my rain coats..
I buy a cheap tank bag and i will make some straps to get it on the tank, when i m finish i will post some pics..:smartass:

Thank you for your suggestions. I spotted a Wolfman Enduro tank bag on Preloved at the weekend and bought it. It is practically brand new and fits a treat. It came with a harness that replaces the bag when it is removed from the bike so the straps do not flap around in the breeze. Although the map case is pretty small and useless for normal maps, I should be able to cobble something together when required.

Again, thank you all for your advice.

Jens , what brand and size rain tire are you using on that bike? how many miles do you get out of it? THUMPTHUMP

Heidenau K73, the front seems to last a long time, I had to replace the rear after I had a big nail go through it, but the threads was starting to be worn down anyway.

Im not sure on the milage, as I've been swapping wheels, but perhaps 5000km on the rear, and 2-3 times that on the front, which is sill going strong.
