stator generator wanted - 43F
 

I posted a thread some weeks ago about my XT 600 (43F) failing after 25 - 30mins despite starting 1st time. We tested the stator when hot and then again when cold. Very different readings to normal when hot, hence the problem. I`ve now spent 5 weeks looking for the rare 2 pick-up generator stator for the 1985 bike. Really missed not being on the road but I`m not going to pay the £ 513.00 + Vat for a new one. Anybody know where I can pick one up ?

Have you tried Electrex world Electrical parts for motorcycles - regulator rectifiers generators stators ignition coils lighting coils ht & pulse coils cdi units starter motors rotors , West Country Windings Westcountry Windings ?

Take a pic and I'll check if I have one - I'm sure I can beat £513 + VAT (I'll knock off the VAT!!!)

Thanks for the (2) above posts. I`ve tried ElectrexWorld. Very helpful but it`s the pickups that are faulty rather than just a simple re-wind. The only one they can`t replace the pick-ups for is mine - of course !

I`ll try and get a piccy of the set but it`s with the bike shop 40 miles away at the moment, but thanks in the meantime.
