stallýng ýn neutral

ok thýs one is gývýng me a headache..whenever ý change down into neutral the býke has a tendency to mýsfýre and stall.. generally when ým comýng to a stop ýn traffic. i thýnk ýt may be a clutch issue because it also seems to do the same when i put ýt ýnto fýrst gear to take off... just a chokýng mýsfýre then it stalls...thanks guys..ýnterested on your thoughts..

clutch switch, neutral switch, or a bad connection somewhere between these switches and the cdi unit.

to answer my own questýion...i think it was dodgy fuel causing it to cough and splutter. now on 98 octane and problem has gone...i hope.

Try to adjust the idle mixture screw [hidden under the front side of the carb]. Usually a few turns out works fine. Try the bike after every turn. Don't turn it out more than 8 turns otherwise you'll hardly get it back in again. That is if you find it.
