I tryed a Dutch(?) foam filter MotoAir in my Tenere, but I was not happy with it.It fits okey,but it seems like it´s very restrictive.When I first fitted it I had to readjust the carbs because the bike run very rich. Even tryed it dry without oil,and it would still run rich.
After sorting out the adjustments the bike still felt a bit sluggish compared to running the original filter. It did do a better job keeping the carbs clean tough. But preformance wise Im not convinced.
Plenty of dust on the roads here in Africa so I would like to find something that keeps it out of the engine.

How thick is the foam on the Unifilter?

As a guestimate, probably around 10mm thick.
It's definately far less restrictive than the factory paper filter!
