rim size and tires you are running on your 17" wheels

Thinking of buying a set of black front/rear 17" rims for my 1990 xt600. Was going to lace them up to my stock hubs so they will need to be 36 hole. What size rims and what size tires are you guys running. Please attatch pictures if you have them. Need all info you can give.. rim manufacture, rim width, tire manufacture, tire size. etc.

Hi :)

I have the stock 17" rear wheel on my xt600e 2003.

The tyre is this: (danish site) Dæk 4.60-17 crossdæk TH-966 TT 180 km/t - Dæk, 17 tommer - Dæk og slanger - MC reservedele og udstyr - thansen.dk

4,60X17 (110/90X17) and approved up to 180km/t.

It was cheap and kinda noname i think, but for the price ( around 50us$ ) its real good.

It looks like this on the bike: http://peecee.dk/uploads/072008/xt600daek.JPG

Note the loose and dry chain =)

Theres plenty of addional room for a bigger or widder tyre, but this one seems fine for asphalt and for rockyroads. It doens't have too much real grip in loose sand and mud, but it manages.

I dont know which meassures you use, so tell me if you need something else.
