Hey all,

Just a quick one to find out if anybody can recommend a good wheel man/woman for respoking my rear wheel or a book that will help me do it.

I built a second spare wheel for my Ural from two secondhand Dnepr wheels. I took the best hub of the two, ditto the rim and bought new spokes for any that were not serviceable.

Anyway, it was actually quite easy, as long as I did not rush, which meant walking away when I started getting impatient.

I found this site on wheel re-building very handy for this, given that I had no prior experience. Have a look...

hi, I can recomend Brickwood Wheel Builders. out in the sticks near Salisbury. they are very 'old school' but in a good way

I did this a few months ago, all by myself, as the cost of getting someone else to do it was prohibitive. It was a lot easier that you'd think, although I took my time and worked very patiently. There were a couple of threads about it, including some useful links:
