oil cap seal
 

Any one know if I should have a rubber seal on my oil level dipstick cap,looks like it on the parts list but I have nothing on mine,is it a flat type seal or o ring....cheers

Got an O-ring seal on the dipstick of my '88 XT6......If that's any help? :mchappy:

big box of assorted o rings is an essential part of my workshop stock and i'd recomend you do the same:cool4:
the cap is not under pressure but does need a good seal to avoid contamination :innocent:

Well, the pil is under a little presure, but nothing taht will move tha cap. But go get yourself one anyway.
