i just got my first xt its a 87 xt600 that is really a very mint bike and seems like a great bike i plan on doin alot of woods riding on the bike like 99% off road and 1% on road. and the bike is geared way to high for me i have seen that jt sprockets make a 47 rear and a 13 front but i cannt find anyone who sells it. bikebandit dont have a listing for it can someone help me out on were to get these sprokets or something in the 3.6 gear ratio range. also who makes an exhaust for the 87 ive seen one for the 90+ model bikes can it be tweeked to fit. thanks alot

Wemoto appears to have some sprockets, don’t know if they have exactly what you need.

I got a 14 t front sprocket for my TT ( std was 15t) from them, big difference….

Hello!

I can recommend ARROW - Paris-Dakar Replica, a slipon silencer that fits directly to the genuine Yamaha front exhaust pipe. You dont even need a muffler gasket between them, just mount with exhaust mounting paste.
I have one of those on my XT600-2KF, 1989, and its made of stainless steel, with a sound absorbing cartridge that you can remove if you want to be unlegal :mchappy: I prefer to have it in place because of ear-problems, but the bike feels much more powerful than with the original Yamaha muffler anyway, and the Dakar replica is lighter too!
Unlucky, you have to search for it, I dont know who sells it where you live.

Good luck!

/ Henrik
