New owner of A 84 Tenere XT600
 

Hello All! Yep hadn't been run for 8 years with gas in the Big Tank! Carbs were stuck, It Idles and runs fine Wide open throttle but will surg or buck at about midrange 100 kilometers (tack inop) per hour. I went thru the carbs B4 but was wondering if not being set at the 7mm of slide on primary B4 kicking the secondary carb in may be my prob? Oh yea if the enrichner lever is on the surging or bucking goes away! Secondary curcuit ??? I was freating going back into the carbs but looks like i must! Looking at the view of the carbs that looks like the culprit. Thanks

yer, carbs needs a full overhaul.

Yanked the carbs took em apart but other than a bit of shellac stain, I didn't find a thing i would bet on being the problem! The second carb commencement point was a bit off (now set @ 7mm raise of primary slide) Hope that was it I'll know tomorrow. Float rite on @ 27mm above seal point, all passages were open and no damaged soft parts :confused1: I hate when this happens.:rolleyes2:

Hey just got R done! and she is smooth as silk all over from idle to wide open! Maybe the 7mm thing or just a lodged object that got blown out? This bike is a marvel of engineering:thumbup1: One more thing man got rite back when it counted, but without a computr.:scooter:
