Mirror annoyance

Hi, the mirrors on my TTR are pushed out of position by wind. Obviously the "ball in the socket" at the end of the arm is not tight enough for speeds above 60kmh. Now, once upon a time I was told about a trick to cope with this, but I do not remember what it was. Any ideas?

I had the same problem with my TTR
Pull down the rubber boot that covers the plastic ball , coat your balls with rubber cement ( same you use for patching a tube) replace the rubber boots.. let the glue set up for a day or so before you ride.
Now the mirrors are still adjustable, but will be much less prone to self adjusting at high speeds.

"coat your balls with rubber cement"... sounds like a redneck brazillian wax... owww!

Isnt there a clamp ?

Silicone would have the same effect but prob less prone to breaking down.

Gasket seal too
