Mikuni TM34 carbs
I see Kedo do a kit for junking the old carb setup and replacing with mikuni TM34's, has anyone on here fitted these carbs? In which case are they still any good for off roading, I'm having a play with the motor over winter to give a bit more go and they look very pretty but I can't help thinking bigger carbs opening together will mess up bottom end grunt.
All input appreciated. |

Too big for the stock engine XT600E...
I got the dual Mikuni BSR33 raptor 660 carbs (on my 1990 XT600E and they are already a tad big than what they're needed for a stock engine.... Vando beer |
With too big you mean its hard to jet it correctly? or physically too big?
You were jetting yourself right? I wonder how those are, theyr supposed to be prejetted from kedo.de and you tell them what mods you have done to get the correct jetting but i dont know.. I have exhaust and airfilter mod only..may consider just rejetting the stock carb instead. |
yep, they advertise plug and play...but that is baloney. I purchased the Keihin cr33's and only after having them dyno'd for 300 bucks could I get the bike to run with out stumbling, due to being to big for the motor. Smallest main-jet possible was the ticket to get it to perform.
