master cylinder/brake handle
 

tryed to change the internal components of my master cylinder today, it doesent have a smooth function.

but i couldnt get of the "lock ring", i thought i had the right tools, but cant get them to grip the small holes on the ring.

any tips?

Sounds like a circlip and you might need special circlip pliers,I normaly use something sharp and a pair of pliers but you have to be careful not to bend it too much,,,,,..
