Manuals

I've just bought an XT600E new. Very nice bike. I don't expect to need a manual in the near future, but out of curiosity would like to study a manual as I like to know about my bikes. Are any of the bikes covered in Clymer or Haynes manuals near enough like mine to make the manual worth reading? Thanks.

Clymer manual stops with 1986 43F kick start-Rear drum brake XT600 ...if you are able to understand French, the Revue Moto Technique (www.etai.fr) are avalaible for your bike and are very well made.

Thanks Giorgio. My French is ok for buying food and beer (what else is there?). I'll go for Clymer. Regards.

the clymer manual is fine for most jobs, the only differences are the suspension, electrics(CDI and rectifier are under tail unit for some reason?) and obviously panels. the engine in the XT600E is in fact the 3AJ model, with slightly different electrical system, so service it as per the manual.
you wont need to do that for quite a while yet though.
