Looking for an Airscoop

I'm looking for a 1990 XT600 airscoop for the left side. Does anyone know where I can find one? :thumbup1:

Does anyone know if the side vents are still used when a larger tank is fitted? I just picked up a 5 gal Acerbis tank and will be putting it on in the next few weeks. If they are no longer used, I'd probaby be open to letting mine go.

As long I know you can’t fit the airscoops with the bigger Acerbis tank. Is your bike ’90 like Sparkdaddys??? Because not all models are the same….
Cheers

:eek3: Wow!! For me that is the XT600E and only come here as ’91 or ‘92
If that is yours the Acerbis goes alone…
Hope the Sparkdaddys are the same!!!:thumbup1:
Our ’90s are more like this one:

I have a 1990 xt600 with the large Acerbis tank and the air scoops can't be fitted since it extends over the area normally occupied by the scoops.I've only had the bike a short while so I can't for sure say as to the capacity of the tank but it's much larger than stock. From reading the Acerbis website it's probably a 20L tank.

Yep, my tank looks exactly like that, blue and big. :)

I guess I will be having some air scoops that I have no use for in a couple of weeks.

Damn, I just ordered one from Yamaha but if they don't come in I want them. Unless of course I can find the same big blue tank like yours? Where did you get it and how much can I expect to pay? Model #?

ps. My bike is a 90 and it's identical to the photo of the blue and grey one.

I got my tank from ebay. The gentleman I purchased it from said that he had to have it imported from Italy via Canada and it ran him about $400 to do. I picked it up for $275 from him. I have seen a tank advertised through Touratech USA, for $339, but I don't know if they actually have any in stock or if it'll have to go on the boat and take forever. Here's a link to it: http://www.touratech-usa.com/shop/sh...o?sku=100-1040
I personally like the look of the black one better, but I guess you take what you can get when it comes to accessories for these bikes in the US.

I'll see if I can find a model number on mine when I get home later this evening.

Try asking any Acerbis dealer by the ITEM number on worldwide catalog

http://www.acerbis.it/images/cat/pdf..._fueltanks.pdf Page 6.

All tanks in US catalog don’t exceed the +/-U$ 250.- can’t be +50% or more:eek3:
