Help with YDIS carb? Yes I'm an idiot!
 

I’ve gone and stuffed it up again. Hoping you guys can help out.
I’m working on my old YDIS xt600 carbs (the ones with the piston secondary not rubber diaphragm)
I disassembled the secondary piston/needle assembly and it exploded when I did so. Stupid me.

There might be unaccounted for parts, might not....... Manual is not so helpful here. The exploded diagram does not show all the parts.
The link below shows the xt carb. The assembly I am working on is #55 in the image.

I have six components
Piston, needle,clip,setscrew, brass collar with two drilled holes in the side. Finally the mystery part. The tiny spring that flew out upon ham fisted disassembly. Where does the spring go?
It appears the spring could go above the clip between the needle and the piston body. Alternatly it appears as though it could fit in the side of the brass collar in one of the two drilled out holes?????

Am I missing any other springs/bits that might have gone flying off when I took this apart?

The above listed diagraham comes right from the Yamaha manual and doesn’t show all the parts.

It's quite suprising how different the 3aj carb is from mine.

Gonna save the tutorial in case I ever get my hands on one of thoes 3aj beauties!

I think I have mine put back together correctly. The proof will be on start up and that's a ways off.
