HELP Yamaha XT600 86
Hi,
I have a problem with wiring install on my Yamaha Xt600 which was made in 1986. Can anyone make some photos of wiring or send me the service manual via email (stas0404@gmail.com)? Also I would like to ask for a photo of location of ''stop switch asy'', CDI module and ignition coil. Many thanks and best regards from Slovenia :) P.S. It's urgent... |

@xtrock, I can't download it :/

xtrock, he is needing it for a US kickstart model I assume, basically a 43F.
Here's a photo of the wiring diagram for your bike, http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800...538/47U8fO.jpg |
Thanks :)

Does anyone have a picture of electrical installation on the motorcycle? I'm new at oldschool bikes (I repair only 2000+ bikes.) I need photos of everything about wiring :)
|
You need to pick up a manual, Clymer even will give you the electrical layout, as much as I hate them . Yes they make them I have one of each.
I just buy a manual for every bike I own so all info I need is right there. |
This link definitely worked today - http://togs.biz/josip/manuali/yamaha...T600Manual.pdf. It might not cover your exact model but there are a large number of common items between models and ity is certainly better than nothing. I use it for working on my 2001 4PT and it is fine for the majority of tasks.

In a PM it was cleared up as to what he's looking for, It's the rear brake light switch down above the foot pedal. In the parts list they list it as a stop switch assembly, one of those weird descriptions.
Here a pic , http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800...540/NaKkqu.jpg |
May I ask you for a picture of "neutral switch" location?
|
It's the wire and screw painted black right below of the sprocket/chain,

Hi, can you tell me how to ''brick'' the lock? No, the bike is NOT stolen, it's mine, don't worry, but I'm just not sure if the lock works.
|
OK, CDI's good, Ignition coil's good, pickup coil has 220 Ohm (normal is between 184-276 Ohm at 20*C), so, wiring must be broken up somewhere. This motorcycle has **** me up so good that I'm good with sex for another three years.
|
sorry for the false information, pickup coil's dead. Does anybody has a pickup coil to sell?
|
Found a problem and we've got a strong spark :) Thanks for your help! Really, thank you very much, guys!
|
Do you mind posting what you found that fixed your bike. Many others follow and could learn from your repair.
