god dam center allen key under motor mount xt 550 head cover
 

Well i guess the fun begins i have a 1983 xt 550 and the timing chain is strechted to its make and is ticking. So i started to tear down got all allen key bolts of head (FUN JOB) but i cant get the one that sits under the motor mount it seems to be stripped (LIKE THE REST OF THEM) and theres not much room to get in there. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get this off without removing the engine. Thank you

The only thing I can think of is take the motor out (not hard), drill off the head of the bolt, remove the rocker cover, use vise grips on the remaining stub to remove the bolt. It is a sob to get at.

What I have found that works best is taking a small sharp flat chisel and trying to hammer the head of the fastener counter clockwise to loosen it. You will probably hack it up a bit but 99 percent of the time I have found this to be the most effective method .
