Front axlebolt holder.
 

On my XT 600, 1990 mod, two of the 6mm bolts holding the front axlebolt holder is broken.
Are theese bolts pinbolts that can be replaced?

Yes looking at the two remaining I would do them all . As there are two types of material Cast Aluminium alloy and steel apply heat to the area and using two nuts tightened up against each other turn the bottom one anticlockwise to remove the old stud.

Replace with a 6mm threaded rod, or cuf of the boltheads of a 6mm bolt and use them as a stud.

This maybe not be an easy job, maybe best welding a nut on the remaining to get them out. Steel and alu are no good mix, sometimes its like the are welded togheter.

First of Id spray the nuts and studs with wd40 and remove the nuts. Remove the retaining plate and then use molegrips or similar to remove the studs.

If that dont work use the other given options..

Also check that alloy plate is not cracked, ive had one with a hairline crack, best spotted ftom the back (where it touches the axle).

I had exactly the same issue on two bolts.
there's no need to worry, any good turner could fix it in few minutes without a welding.
you might need new bolts and hopefully there isn't any corrosion. that's all.

in general, these bolts seem to be not strong enough. I'd replace all 4 in advance with a stronger ones...

Nothing wrong with the original bolts, problem is that people dont pay attention to how to set this plate back and they dont use torque wrench.

As is was mentioned before,

Remove the wheel and tack weld the top of the remainder of the threads to create a head so you can use vice grips and just rotate it off...

The heat from the tack welds will loosen any corrosion on it but be fast doing it while it's hot!

Or ask a friend with a welding machine to do it for ya
