Crashbars for XT600 Tenere(Party frock)

Can anyone tell me where I can get crash bars and a front carrier for my bike, apart from rickycross, also can anyone suggest how I might cure a fuel leak around the mounting brackets on the fuel tank or where I can get another one.
Cheers,
Griff.

I also want racks and so on ... but so does everyone! The fuel tank - you're better off trying to repair it, since 2nd hand tanks are extremely rare.

Here we go - German company - if you need help with the language drop me a note...

I'm not sure if they fit on your model...

But if not - I'm sure there are other offers on the net - try ebay for example.

For the XT 600 E you can get a Crash-Bar new from these guys:

Select brand first, than bike-type...

I bought engine crash bars for an 2001 xt600e from a German company called Wunderlich. They answer e mails in English and will send you a catalogue on request.

Heres my tuppence worth on carrying fuel jerricans.I braced the engine crash bars to the frame and mounted a 10 litre jerrican either side and then uprated the fork springs with progressive springs. Big mistake that sort of weight should be at the back of the bike. I got the idea from an earlier XT i had bought, this model was a 1986 XT 1VJ model and had been fitted with a jerrican rack. It was mounted from 3 good strong points. This model is better suited for this modification.

I also fitted a cut down small army ammo can to a CRD bashplate, great for carrying heavy tools and money. The only point that concerned me was the ammo box covered a lot of the front ventillation holes in the bashplate and may have caused overheating. (No external oil cooler fitted)
