Just saw this and wondered what wheels and front end they have used.

Tdm 850

theoneandonlymin 17 Oct 2020 19:19

Thanks,

Haven't done any measurements to see if it will all fit. TDM parts can be cheap enough..

front shouldnt be a problem if you fit also the 850 fork like that guy.

on the stock xt600 fork, i doubt it would work and you wont be able to use the twin disc setup either

the 850 150mm rear should fit. i have in my supermoto xt600 a 140mm and there is still room for a bit more

Managed to buy a TDM850 rolling chassis over the weekend after a search for one at the right price. Now I will have a stash of TDM850 parts for sale. Ah well. Hope to strip it down and see how it all fits together over the next few weeks. I've a bare 3TB frame so we'll figure it out on that.

nice, just fit the whole front end, hopefully steering stem bearings diameters will be the same.... but all-balls have all sorts of conversion bearings for those swaps

i believe you will have some issues with stem length, TDM might be longer,
a turned spacer might be needed too, youll have to mcgyver it

good luck selling the parts.... :thumbup1:

Stripped out the TDM at lunchtime today, so thought I'd throw them at a frame. Straight in using the TDM yokes!!! Need to think about steering stop but not much else. Apart from how the clocks fit, the different size front wheel for the speedo etc etc

Don't you love a Yamaha. Rear wheel went in OK, original XT spacer distanced the sprocket correctly.
Still a bit of caliper disc fiddling to go
