Battery Eliminator for XT600E
 

Hi guys!

What are your experiences with these:

right now I'm kinda short on blingbling...so I don't know if I'll just replace my battery or if I should fit one of these instead!

I know they'll take my E-start away but I've already fitted a kickstart..

My real question is: Will this interfere with the headlights?
Will they be dimmer?

A new GEL type battery is around 50€ with shipping as this battery eliminator is just 20€ with shipping...

Anyone?

Lights could be dimmer at low rpms. And as you know, no e-start, kickstart is nice as option, but to be forced to do it is not so nice :rolleyes2:

Humm... just at low rpm you say...
I can live with that.. I only use low rpm when I'm at a stop sign ,red light or letting the engine warm up lol

What would happen if for now I fitted a weaker amp battery and used the kickstart?

I'm only asking as my 2 yuasa batteries are kinda badly sulfatated... doh

I fitted one to an old Triumph
And it worked ok the lights went dim at tick over and you couldn’t start it with the lights in the on position because there wasn’t enough power
The biggest disadvantage is that if you get an electrical fault of any kind it’s very hard to find it as you only have power with the engine running but if you can’t get it to run
try fault finding on a bike and kicking it at the same time Not Fun

I fitted it to reduce weight as I was (and still am sometimes) doing MCC Trials

but ended up with a small battery on the bike instead

The bike still charges, so yopu shouldnt loose to much light, it should only be at idle or just above.

How about a little scooter/moped battery? get a sealed one, should be pretty cheap. Mount it low, and you probably wont know its there.
