Arrow silencer
I have an Arrow silencer on my 4PTA model. The exhaust manifold is original.
I bought the bike's silencer installed and now I'm wondering when the connection between the silencer and the exhaust manifold is leaking a little. Should the silencer and the exhaust manifold connection include a gasket/sleeve like the one used with the original silencer? The silencer is 72034PD https://www.arrow.it/en/assembled/51...00-E-1995-2001 The original silencer seems to have this gasket https://partscatalog.eu/de/Yamaha/p/...as-yamaha.html |
hi Jex. from my recolection the short answer is no. there is a db killer on the end cap on those 72034PD exhaust tips, that is easily bolted on and off.
for your immediate problem i would resolve in a better clamp where the exhaust tip sleeves into the exhaust headers . i have these on mine. with a longer through in bolt and a grover washer and a double nut on the end so it won't move and get loose from vibrations https://www.ebay.com/itm/314904249357 |
Firegum
Probably available in most motor factors retail shops world wide in one way or another.
Looks like toothpaste Apply on end can cold sleeve, reassemble the clamp then run engine straight away to bake on. Any excess, use a toothbrush to remove! |
