acewell speedo on xt600

Hi,
Has anyone fitted one of these? Currently trying to fit a acewell 1600 speedo/taco to my 1985 xt600 and would like some suggestions on fitting the speedo sensor to front wheel. Will have to make a brackets for the magnet and sensor. I was going to fit to the front disk or hub near the speedo drive but instructions appear as clear as mud.
Alternatively is there another unit better suited.
Thanks Ernie.

fitted an acewell to my gsxr and used the sensor from a cycle computer because mine didn't come with the sensor kit, it was easy to mount near the brake caliper and the magnet was glued to the disk with an epoxy resin glue :thumbup1:

got the trailtech vapor fitted to my xt600 but my xt is heavily modified so can't give you a direct comparison on the fitting for that but as long as you get the calibration info correct and the magnet triggers the sensor its a very acurate bit of kit.
