97 TT600r Belgarda fork oil.

Hi.
Just changing the fork oil on new to me TT600r. I have a manual for this bike, which apparently covers the r and the re, which have different forks. The manual only seems to cover the re non adjustable variety - pictures for dismantling etc dont show forks with a damper rod connected to the adjuster on the fork top.

Can anyone tell me how much fork oil i need to put in it? The re apparently takes 650ml per fork, but after a google search i have also seen 615ml from some random site somewhere.

Any help much appreciated.

I had Yamaha do my last fork service. They changed both fork- and dustseals and put 615 ml oil in it. Its a TT600R

yep...about 615ml but more importantly oil level 160mm from top of fork when compressed without spring

Cheers for that. Managed to track down the info, did the change, as expected no noticable difference in fork performance. Oh well, at least I know its been done.

Turned out to be a small amount less than 615ml to get the correct air gap.
