84 TT600 sidecar electric start?
 

Hello,
We have 2 84 and 1 83 TT600s. I had intend to add a sidecar to ther one that is plated for the kids, which requires a subframe due to the discontinuous design of the under frame. The new issue is these are kick start only and this is not good, they say. 6 volt magneto too, but I thought this could be addressed with a capacitor of some type.
The big deal is the kick start. I thought that was the way all bikes were once started. I was told that an electric start was available, at one time, for these early TTs. Is this true? It would br great!!

Is this project worth persuing?
I can't see spending 5 grand on a KLR that will still need a bunch of stuff done to it. Thank you.

tbh I dont think any TT ever has come with an electric start. However you may well be able to use the 3AJ engine that came in the 88 -89 Tenere's. The TT's since that date seemed to have continued with that engine. Do your research tho. There may be subtle differences in mounting points.
