Thanks, nice pictures but the rest is a long story to translate..Anyone here who is good in german and can give a heads up what they talking about?

I can't read German.

As far as I know, it bolts in without too much work.

Plug straight in, I doubt it.

It's a complete new model so I would guess that the loom is different too.

I would think that you wan't the ignition system for the new motor to come with it. You want the ignition pickup and CDI to be paired etc.

Are they both TCI ??

Anyone have electrical diagram for the 4pt so i can compare with 3tb?

Yep, i thought only difference was the clutch actuator being on the right with the 4PT

Mezo.

It should work then. Assuming it uses the same pickup and ignition/Advance timing.

A few plugs might be different but hardly a reason to give up.

Id want to use the TCI from the 4PT model to be safe though.

It translates automatically in Chrome browser. Try sticking it through translate.google.com

Yes in english it gives a little understanding, the engine is a 4pt not 3tb. And the conversion is from 1jv to 4pt so its no help, i need to know whats different on the electrical on 3tb-4pt.

xtrock 28 Dec 2016 14:05

I was wondering why the 4pt had som much better brakes, and i see now that the brake disc is about 2cm larger. So there is no direct swap on the caliper in front, is it different mounting on the caliper or the strut mounting?

Personally I'd use the 4PT loom. It will be the simplest solution when it comes to your TCI, ignition timing, charging circuits and safety circuits.

You might have to chop, extend, alter here and there but no more than you'll have to do with getting the 4PT motor to work correctly with your original loom.

How are you with Electrics anyway ??

xtrock 29 Dec 2016 12:19

Thanks connal, i dont have the loom for the 4pt engine.

Shouldn't be hard to find one. Its the last thing people want when breaking bikes.

Yes but it seems like there is not much parts for these, most for 3tb. Its no hurry, if i have some failure on the original i was hoping for a easy swap to the 4pt. Think its strange its not a direct swap if the only difference is clutch arm and the 5 gear, they maybe did some changes around on the circuit but all in all from the engine there is not much to change.
