What model does this prefix apply to?

Is a 2KF block compatible with internal parts from earlier models?
I'm asking because I have a 34L engine with a faulty gearbox and a 2KF bare gearbox (no clutch, cylinder or flywheel/ign).

The head on my 3AJ says 2kf on it, if that helps

Try to check a website such as Yamaha of Troy they have some nice diagrams from old models and the names of the parts with the according #'s for yamaha oem parts... :thumbup1:
