1VJ Tenere Electrical fault

Caused myself a problem here: had the battery off my Ten to use in another bike, and on a whim decided to run it to work on just the CDI. Not a problem until I ended up working late, and was going to have to ride home in the dark. So fired up the bike on the kicker, then flicked lights on - everything came on for about 2 seconds then it all went dark. Had an interesting 15 mile defensive ride home with just a head torch on the fairing! First thought was the main fuse (the standard circuit breaker corroded and broke a year or 2 ago and I replaced with an in line fuse), but it's not that, it isn't blown. Strangely, the horn still works, until I take out the fuse, but nothing else. So, is there another fuse I don't know about, or any common failure points before I start working outwards from the battery with my multimeter?

Ignition switch Bob? or the plug for it?

Mezo.

Check all the bulbs, it's possible they got over voltage and blew. The battery absorbs all of that. Or it popped something in the lighting circuit.

Will do, and I did wonder about that, but the starter is out too...:(
Good shout Mezo - I'll start there: best I start stripping tank and fairing...
