04 Ttr600re Sprockets

ARRGH! I have an 04 TTR600RE and it appears you can't have different size sprockets to standard!
For the 03 you can, but I've looked on Wemoto.com and there are big differences in bolt positions and centre hole size.
This is not good!
Help!:funmeterno:

I want either a 14 front or a 49 or 50 rear.

Strat.

Go to KEDO - Performance Products I think they have it there! :innocent:

Many thanks, I've also tried www.offtheroad.de and it looks like they do them too:thumbup1: just waiting for confirmation of dimensions now.
Is the 04 TT600RE a parts bin special? Its just that the rear sprocket was also on the XT550, some of the XT600E years, the XT600Z and also the XTZ660 (though they are all less teeth), makes you wonder what the 03 model sprocket came from? Was it the XT500?!!
The front sprocket is 03 XT600E!

cheers, Strat.

Hi... give me the OEM part number and I'll try to tell you what bikes from what years use that sprocket...

If read that when you change a sprocket you should change both of them plus the chain because of the wear...it's the same thing as you buy a new brake rotor and continue to use the old brake pads....

I'm gonna change my chain soon..I'll be getting a RK 520 XSO X-ring chain+sprockets...Because the bike the chain is stretching fast and I don't think it'll last much longer..

please measure your sprockets

I'm having a break down in communication regarding sprockets as I don't speak German!
So can a nice lovely person especially an Englishman and another nationality please check their sprockets for me as I have been told I can't have the sprocket fitted to my bike! Well it is coz it's what is holding my chain on!
My rear sprocket is 47t. The middle hole is 125mm. Bolt hole to bolt hole is 10.5cm. The measurement from a bolt hole across the centre to a bolt hole on opposite side ias 145mm.
My front sprocket is 9.5mm thick.

The 03 size sprockets are front 15.6mm thick and rear 164 mm across the middle and very different bolt hole sizes.

In fact have a look on Wemoto Home and look at the 03 and 04 tt600re sprockets please.

cheers, Strat.

I would stick to the standard set up, 15 tooth (same as XT?) front and 47 tooth rear. The standard chain kit from yamaha has a regina chain and both sprockets and should last 10000 miles o.k.
The gearing is a good compromise to get the most out of the engine with the ratios of the gearbox. The TTR has no cush drive, 44 tooth standard sprocket with different mount holes and different internal gearbox ratios.

An update is needed now!

B&C express and wemoto have wrong information it would seem regarding the front sprockets on TT600RE 5CH models.
The same front sprocket that goes on the kickstart model and XT600 models does fit this bike and this is confirmed by Yamaha UK.
The rear sprocket is different and can be bougtht from AFAM and B&C can make any size in alloy up to 50t.

So I now have a 14t front and 50t rear! Wheeeeeelieeees!:thumbup1:

I'm guessing you're sorted. But if you need a German translation let me know..

Hi, got my sprockets from B&C express in Lincoln. You want the 14t front sprocket for an early XT600, part number 577.
