I think your right there. The more I think about the GS is what a lot of money it is. I cant help thinking how I would feel if it was dropped. Or what it coud do to me if I dropped it on me.

The XT seems to be the practical fun and much cheaper option.

Then as you say keep hold of the R6 to fill in that sporting gap. For europe I could prabably live with the tank range. Afterall last year I Travelled down Alicante on My R6 which needed filling roughly every 190 - 210Km. So there is not really much difference there between the two.

If the tank range is really and issue then take a 5-10l petrol container with you and strap it to the bike. Once the bike runs out pull over for a pee stop or fag break and fill up your tank. Simple as.

Having 2 bikes will open your choices and also allow you to better your riding skills. Espically if you get the XT660R and keep your R6.

I dont mind the look of the tenere but those plastics do look a bit more expensive than the xtr's (all plastics around £100 or so, with out stickers)
