Vstrom 1000 xt, KTM 1290 super adv r, Africa twin, Ducati, BMW ?

Well I'm looking for a two up bike with some off road capacities but not a hard core. Read and listen about all the videos....

KTM seem great but expensive and warranty ...not the frame and electronics.

BMW surely confortable, but overweight and BMW are reliable ?

Suzuki VStrom 1000 xt well priced, but a bit short for off road ? Two up ?

Ducati Multistrada good on road, bad on dirt too heavy ?

Africa twin really don't know is that another Honda without grunt ?

Now I know I'm kind of negative but the one really looking for I need to wait a year Dr Big of Suzuki for 2020 not out yet.

Maybe I should buy a used one and that's another question...Is that right then after 2 years of devaluation the bike don't lost a lot after that.

Any thinking and experience would help me.

I saw some modified the V Strom 1000 with a 21 inches wheel and put a better shock back don't know if it'S a good idea or a lost of dineros.

Any long term report from the owner will be fine about those adv bikes.:mchappy:

Agree. Also not the most comfortable two-up and the noise can be annoying for the passenger. By virtue of the performance orientated design of the machine, not as great to ride slow (the harder you ride it the better it works), and won't last as long (don't expect 100kkm trouble free engine life, although it has happened)

For two-up touring they are quite comfortable. In my experience over-priced and not nearly as good a build quality as you'd expect at the price. google 'final drive failure' LOL

Suzuki VStrom 1000 xt well priced, but a bit short for off road ? Two up ?

Probably one of the most underrated machines out there. Ground clearance is a problem if you're going of the sealed stuff, but other than that its a great machine. Well balanced. Excellent build quality and reliability. Powerful. Comfortable two-up

Ducati Multistrada good on road, bad on dirt too heavy ?

Long first gear. Makes it hard to ride slow without working the clutch hard. Gets a lot harder when the surface gets soft. Lots of heat from the motor.

Africa twin really don't know is that another Honda without grunt ?

Not as powerful as the other machines on your list. Very capable of doing the speed limit with two-up with luggage. Powerful enough to get most people in trouble offroad. By far the easiest bike to ride offroad and in trying conditions. Comfortable two-up, but you're going to spend money on the suspension (the rear is undersprung and valved, and the front-end is just a bad design that flexes too much), and there is some known buffeting issues. Offcourse, with the addition of the ATAS, most of these issues are sorted already.
