The 660R seat height should be lower than most on your list.

Maybe consider the F650GS for a low seat height.

And most bikes can be lowered.

A not too radical lowering link is what you want. Easy to install ... should lower it down about 1" to 1.5". You will also need to RAISE the fork tubes UP in the triple clamps to maintain balance front to back. So, lower rear with link, lower front by raising tubes up an inch or so. (do NOT cut springs or fork tubes)

I'm 5'6", also with 29" inseam. I do pretty good on some dual sport bike, but bikes like the Honda XR650L and many KTM's are TOO TALL for me.

I'm betting that 660 will work ... at 5'8", you may not even need to lower it.
Worth a try for sure.

The very best thing about it is how RELIABLE it is ... and it's low maintenance.
Very low cost to keep running from what I've read. We don't get those 660's here in USA but I saw plenty of them in EU, mostly in France and UK.

Good luck!

I've not owned the 660R but I remember it having a low seat height to start with. Also quite a comfortable seat. That can be scooped out too.

Thanks guys, yeah I just checked and it seems like it's only an inch taller than a V-Strom, which was fine when I rented one in the US. Although this 660R is on high dirt tyres, it should still be okay.

Cheers!

Once you have your luggage on it will be fine. And of course, lowering links if need be.
