At EICMA there are a steady stream of new motorcycles and what is better…?

The Rieju Aventura 500 with a fuel capacity of 40 liters was presented a couple of years ago. Now we are getting a 300 cc bike with a claimed 20,5 liter petrol tank. Now thats something up my alley indeed!

Spanish Rieju is of course not the company that makes these bikes, they are rebranded from chinese producers. This 300 model is said to use the Voge 300 cc engine. Other than that it really got the looks imho then!

I have been and still is a bit sceptical towards chinese motorbike makers - but they got something the japanese (and to some extend european brands) lacks - and that is innovation!

Its a Voge 300 Rally on steroids.

Rieju Aventura Rally 307:

• Voge Engine Euro5+ compliant (it will be quieter for sure)

• fully adjustable suspension with a lot more travel too ????

• 890mm seat height

• TFT screen and Rally Tower

• 138kg (probably without gas, dont know)

I'm left wondering which models are still made in Spain, the Tangos had the frames made in Spain and they were assembled here (don' t know about the Tango-E since that's a completely different bike), I think their enduros are too ...

33,5 HP from a 293 cc engine, 21 liter fuel tank and dry weight of 137 kilograms. Now we are talkin!

The seat height at 890mm is intimidating for me at 178cm.

I didn't see a price on the website even though you can pre order!

The price is close to 5000 Euros. Differs slightly between countries. Engine is from Loncin, based on (or also used in) Kawasaki, and the similar Voge Rally. Interestingly, in case of engine failure, a complete near identical 300cc Loncin engine can be purchased from China for less than 2000 Euros.

The Kawasaki engine is 26 HP according to spec sheets, but this Rieju has 33,5 HP. Its almost 30 % more. It must be in very different state of tune if so its really a Kawasaki engine?

From what I understand, it's not really a Kawasaki engine - it's a Loncin that shares some design elements. They've pushed it harder for more power.

Looks like a solid setup, especially with the adjustable suspension and TFT screen. I get the skepticism about Chinese bikes but gotta admit they’re bringing some fresh ideas. If the weight and fuel range check out, this could be a fun little adventure bike.
