Yep transistion period will be 6-12 months, BMW dont want to have their competitors bikes in their showrooms so any dealer that has a husqvarna franchise will be getting rid of it

Well its official. Husqvarna as of October will have an all new range of Mattighofen designed and built bikes. The Nuda is dead, but they may continue with the 650 Terra and Strada for a short while.

Also apparent is they have over a years inventory of built bikes that have not been sold. Well over 10,000 bikes. With new models coming, they will probably look to get ride of existing models very cheaply.

Started already. Up to 30% off because it's their '110th anniversary', no less:
Husqvarna Motorcycles UK

Shame, we may never see the Baja then, but a Terra/Strada for around £4k could be tempting.

Press Release from Husqvarna:
The year 2013 will be remembered in motorcycling history as the year that Husqvarna was reborn.

More spin than Torvill & Dean... Look forward to seeing what KTM come up with. I suppose a Terra-based modern version of a 640 Adv is too much to ask for (yes).

If they really do have a truckload that they need to get rid of, you might be able to go even less that 4k. 30% off 5250 (non ABS Terra) = 3675

So you'd think. But a dealer just quoted me on non-ABS Stradas or Terras:£4790 which is not even 10%, plus an ex-demo Strada with ABS at the same price.

I did see another ex-demo ABS Strada with 1000 miles at Newcastle Motorcycles for £3900

Other side of the pond, but the dealer in Austin Texas knows nothing of any discounts, and wants the list price of $7449(USD) for an ABS Terra.

I visited the Husqvarna dealer in Norway today and they had 30% on some accessories, but the bikes still had the "old" price.
