Be analytical about the style of riding, if you wont be doing any offroad stuff, you don't really need an offroad bike.
You do need something that will carry luggage,
modern build, but not overly complicated,
cost effective for your type of riding,

So, look at what dispatchers use. CB500, diversion600, bandit 600 with a fairing etc. Universal japanese motorcycles. they may not be sexy, but as a result, are good value.

Get one as modern, and well looked as you can afford
