Ktm 250 ADVENTURE
 

The KTM 250 ADV is now launched on the Indian market. Looks very much like the 390 ADV but doesnt have slipper clutch, no LED headlight etc. 30 PS and a whopping 2 kilos lighter than the 390 ADV.

I have no experience of the Indian built KTM but have owned a couple of Hero Honda there and the build quality has been pretty good, certainly better than Chinese built bikes, the one problem seems to be durability of the finish which I don't think would stand up well to being ridden through a British winter.
A trail bike version of that would be a pretty handy bike, some wire wheels and slightly longer suspension would make it.

I suspect that like the 390, this is being built as an "Adventure styled" bike to bring people into the KTM fold. TBH as much as I love my KTM, if I was getting a 250 to go travelling I'm pretty sure it would be a Honda.
