Yea, right! thanks for the follow up. doh

AJP looks like a Pipedream ... or a scam?:ban:

Lots of unknowns here. Vague source for their engine. They say "Asian".
WTF is that! come on guys, just say it! It's Chinese! The whole bike is mostly likely Chinese! Nothing wrong with that .. buy why say it's made in EU.

Lots of the other parts are unknown. Brakes? Delphi electronics? really?
Some suspension they claim to be "Sacks" , but for most models no name is revealed.

No details on the so called factory in Portugal. Pics? Has this company actually sold any dirt bikes? To who? Ride reports? Magazine reviews?

They previewed something at the EICMA shows ... but what have we seen since?

It has competition:-
Home - swm-motorcycles

Reputed to be the same engine:

Been selling smaller ajps in the UK for quite a few years so are a real manufacturer. Probably Euro4 compliance problems slowing release of the pr7.

I googled 'PR7 motorcycle' and got several links right away!

Try a bobber

Rumour says that CCM will produce a few limited edition Spitfires, to tide them over perhaps, before producing a successor to the GP450 (orders for the latter are no longer being taken) using this 600cc engine.

On the other hand, the bobber style of the Spitfire is all the rage at present, so if it sells for big dollars why not make more?

125 Kg dry weight.
£9K for a limited edition bobber (production run of 250) or about £10K for a bog-standard Africa Twin.

Rumour elsewhere says that the PR7 can't face up to the competition of the SWM product linked earlier - on price alone.
But, hey, what do we know?

3 bike manufs all intending to fit the same engine.

Why should we, if there are so many other bikes out there, that have prooved relyability for decades allready???

xtorange 20 Sep 2017 13:47

So, no is the short answer. Shame, because if I I could actually touch and feel one then my cheque book may come out.

Like bicycles and pushbikes? Why bother by bikes, theres still very reliable horses around. And most of us still have two feet to walk on....

I think if you do some scratching around you may find some of these new bikes for sale in the UK. You may find new dealers around there too? Dunno?

For sure I've not seen or heard about many of these bikes in USA other than
CSC motorcycles:

CSC MOTORCYCLES - RX3 Cyclone 250cc Adventure Touring Motorcycle, TT250 Enduro Motorcycle, Apparel, Helmets, Gloves, Boots, Accessories

The CSC is a made up brand using the better Chinese parts. A guy in Southern
California set up the CSC and is doing a pretty good job marketing these bikes, even got some major magazines here to do reviews ... and those reviews were quite positive covering a multistage, multi thousand mile test ride with group of moto Journos.

The bikes look better and better every year, IMO. I've no idea how the long term reliability will be or where you get service beyond Southern California.

Good web site, check it out! Very affordable bikes, read the reviews!
