Honda XR150 for overlanding....
 

Hi all,

We have a couple of 2015 Honda XR150s in Kenya. I am quite keen to take them either all the way up to Cairo or even around neaighbouring countries such as Uganda/Burunda/ Rwanda/Ethiopia.

Has anyone ridden long distances on these befoew and will it hold out?

I have one and they are great bikes and perfectly up to the task you have in mind, change the oil regularly as in every 2-3,000 km and you will be fine.

Have seen many of these XR150 here on south-America and some used for long distance riding too. Seems like a very reliable bike, has a quite big tank and thus a good range. I met a german/french couple in Patagonia who had bought a XR150 and ridden it two up from Colombia to Patagonia without any issues. And its a Honda...:scooter:

Had one for four days in North Vietnam. Great bike. Go for it.
