Hero X-Pulse 200
 

So in the series of smaller Adv/dual sport/travel bikes this could be an alternative.

Indian Company Hero has sold this bike since 2019, and its now available in India and Nepal and now in several countries in South-America such as Colombia and Bolivia.

Key features:

* Engine - 200 cc engine with 17-18 PS. Have 2 models, one with carburator and also one with EFI. (A little old school engine with oil cooling and 2 valves...?)

* Kerb weight 157 kilos, a bit on the heavy side maybe...?

* Fuel tank/range - 13 liters, fuel consumption is said to be 40 kms to the liter. So the range should be +500 kms which is fantastic!

* Wheels 21/18 - so should handle rough terrain good.

* Suspension - adjustable rear suspension, 220 mm ground clearance.

* LCD screen, LED headlights.

Any thoughts?

Last year I did an 8,000km tour of India and Nepal on it's predecessor the Hero Impulse 150 and thought it was a great bike for Indian roads. It would cruise at 80kph and do 100mpg (Imperial) I cannot remember what it was doing in km/litre.
The suspension was good on rough and gravel roads and the engine was smooth and reliable, all of this was with a passenger! I can only imagine this one will be better.
