Derbi Senda
 

Well, my lad is approaching 16 and he's keen for a 'proper motorbike' rather than ped.

We ended up with a 6 year old Derbi Senda 50 which has had moderate abuse, but is genrally standard apart from being toothed up far to big and a ridiculously big spannie which is soooooo loud.

Thing is, I love it, it bonkers I've got a total smile on my face all the time! When he finished with it when he's 17, I'm going to turn it into the adventure bike i've always needed because at 95kg, you can literally pick it up and that has always been the thing that has put the brakes on my more adventorous forays.

Once toothed up a little more realistically, I recon it should do a good 45mph which is enough for a reasonable rate of travel.

I know there are lots of aftermarket accessories which can aid big power boosts which are ususally a very short term destiny. I'm looking for modest more usable power gains but with reliabilty the number one concern.

Anyone ever done a big trip on one? I think I heard about someone doing a RTW but can't remember the deatails.

If anyone knows of any two stroke specialists who can give a bit of advice on the wee little peashooter, that would be a help too!
