big guy bike?

wondering if anyone has strong opinions about the 1150GS. Is it the most comfortable bike for me? I'm 6'4", 240lbs. What accesories are available to make the ride more comfortable? thanks.

That would be the ideal bike for you I think. You might need to address the screen noise/buffeting issue if over 6ft.

XTZ 750 or XTZ 850 Super Tenere
I have had one for while and they are a great bike. It is a big persony bike. I am 6'3 and wegih in at 110kg. The bike weighs in at 220kg for a bike it is no light weight.
Add the luggage and fuel and it gets heavy, so if you are planning some slippery clay or deep mud puddles give it a swerve. If you can ride well this is a great bike. It has the advantage of plenty of power and torque. It offers great value for and excellent bang for the buck. They are an old bike and if you have Yamaha around you can get spare parts. Motors from the TDM850 bolt into this machine and make it an even better bike.
The TRX850 motor also fits. The XTZ850TRX won Paris Dakar some 6 times. KTM has only managed to eataway at this title for the last few years because the French Rider has given up bikes at 35.
Not so great if you want to have a passanger on the rear. Depends on the size of both of you. Suspension wise mine is great. Like everything. Mine is an older bike and I have a bit of margin to play with compared to the BMW adventurer or the new KTM.
I am just glad to have found such a great reliable cheap world travelling bike for a price that I can afford.

Good luck.
PS We have quite a few of us post 6 foot riders who are mad keen XTZ riders.
