Welcome to Pakistan.

Hello everyone.
I just came across this forum and i have see a lot of travelers that are worried about bad situations in Pakistan. We all know about the media, they are always hunting for something that will go viral. We have a lot of tourists coming to Pakistan, mostly from Zahedan to Quetta-Pakistan. Our Armed forces will escort you to Quetta,Balochtistan from Iran Border. I dont have any idea about what you will need or what procedure you will go through to enter Pakistan, But once you are in Quetta, Things get a lot better. I have some biker friends in Quetta they host tourists from around the world.

Once you reach Quetta My friends will welcome you there. Next, Most of the tourists visit Multan. There you will meet Iqbal Gangla. He is well known traveler in Pakistan and he host foreigners who visit Multan.

After visiting Multan, You should then visit Lahore. It's known as heart of Pakistan. Here you will meet our bikers community and also me :cool4: I will host you here in Lahore, There are a lot of places to visit in here like Lahore fort, Minar-e-Pakistan, Hiran Minar, Moti Masjid, Tomb of Jahangir, Wazir Khan Mosque and a lot more.

Once you are done here you should head up to north. I have some good contacts there. I have been in contact with Commissioner of Gilgit. They will be pleased to see you there. Gilgit will be your starting point, from there you can go to Karakoram Highway (KKH), Deosai (world's 2nd highest plateau), K2 Base camp, a lot of lakes and in the end China Border.
or you can go to India from Lahore.

Just let me know if you need help regarding anything here in Pakistan. I will do my best :thumbup1:

If you have any other quires please let me know.

No matter what the media is saying, everywhere I go I find good people, (72 countries and counting). Pakistan is on my list but it will be 18 months or more before I get there.
Thanks for the post. knowing there is someone there I can contact lowers the stress level.

Wise to go or rather not?

Hi Pakiuploader, I am a former RTW on G/S80 and currently in a 4x4 on my way from SE-Asia to Europe via India and the Stans. Don't want to miss Pakistan but I am concerned since I can't get reliable information. My itinerary goes Lahore to Khunjerab and I would like to spent a couple of weeks in the KKH-area, rather than heading North in a mad rush. Will I be forced into escorts all the way with even having to pay for accommodation, food etc. for the escorting party? Is it unwise to go to the region at all or can it be made reasonably safe? I'd like to hear your opinion, thanks for your feedback! Cheers, Chris
