Vietnam visa Hiccup
 

My previously extended visa expires 2days before I fly out of Saigon back to the UK. Does anyone know if this will cause me big problems at the airport? What are the likely penalties, if any?

When i was there in the summer other travellers got fined around $1 a day (i don't know officially or unofficially) for overstaying, others just sweet talked their way, fluttered their eye lids and were given a telling off.

What are they going to do abotu it? Deport you? ha!
I don't think they issue bans either.

Airline wouldn't let me check in, so off to see the Immigration Dept. Naughty naughty, why are you still here? I was sick was my doleful reply.
It cost me $10 for each of the young immigration lads there were 4 of them, straight into their back pockets.
Come back again they said with a smile - Yeah!
