Big problems getting through Myanmar. While not strictly "impossible", it might as well be. The only people I know of who have done it took months to get approval and even then they had to fly out from Rangoon.

The rest should be fine, as will the XRL.

Vietnam has a strict ban on bikes over 175cc entering the country. We got in on 600cc's but it took a month, a 'large' amount of cash(bribes) and a letter from the Prime Minister personally authorising our trip. We only got this as the charity we are raising money for is a big deal in Vietnam
Other people have got in in the past, but i understand the government became aware of this last year and made all the borders aware of the issue. Still possible though, i guess...
Theres a post on gt-rider.com about an english couple who crossed Myanmar from the Indian side. It took 3 months to get permits and then they spent 15 days crossing 1 section in the back of a truck as the government were doing a spot of genocide in the area and didn't want anyone watching. They also had issues getting permits for the areas of India near the border.
Pain in the arse.
You might want to think about starting in Cambodia(you can buy XLR 250s etc in Phnom Penh with 'asia plates' cheap. Contact California Cafe on the riverside to find all the expat bikers who know about this stuff, google it) then doing a loop up through Laos, where you could try a few Vietnam borders, apparently your best chance. Cross into northern Thailand and head south to Bangkok.
I understand from reading the posts in the shipping section on this site that airfreight FROM Bangladesh is cheap. Whichever way freight there then cross into India.
Other option is to keep going south into Malaysia and sea freight from Port Klang to Chennai, India. Including all the fumigation, packing, sailing time, emptying the ship, clearing customs this should take 20 days from delivery but will be cheaper than air.
Only issue is getting a carnet for a bike you buy in Cambodia, Thailand etc. as you're a Japanese citizen. Maybe you can arrange one but i dont no. You MUST have a carnet to enter India.
